Useful notes for better partnership decisions.

A short field guide for advertisers and publishers. These are general educational notes, not legal or program-specific advice.

FIELD GUIDE

Start with the questions that matter.

Short, plain-language notes for assessing a potential partnership before either side commits.

FIELD NOTE

Read beyond the commission rate

A high percentage is only useful when you know what qualifies.

Compare the qualifying action, exclusions, average order value, recurring versus one-time payouts, and payment conditions. Check the cookie duration alongside the buying cycle: a short window may matter little for an impulse purchase but a great deal for a considered one.

FIELD NOTE

Assess publisher fit before approval

A relevant audience is more useful than a large one in the wrong market.

Look at the channel, the content surrounding recommendations, audience geography, traffic acquisition methods, and how products are presented. Establish whether the publisher can explain the offer accurately and comply with disclosure requirements.

FIELD NOTE

Put promotion rules in plain language

Unclear rules create avoidable disputes.

Specify whether paid search is allowed, whether brand bidding is prohibited, which coupon sources are accepted, and how cashback or loyalty placements should work. Keep approved markets and disclosure expectations visible before a publisher applies.
